Kentucky Advising Academy accepting proposals for mini-grants geared toward supporting workforce readiness and advising

The Kentucky Advising Academy (KAA) is accepting proposals from Kentucky K-12 public schools or area technology centers for mini-grants reimbursable up to $5,000 to support workforce readiness and postsecondary advising.

Proposals must focus on projects that will

• Develop or expand student access to postsecondary opportunities through college and career exploration.
• Assist in student readiness for college enrollment.
• Promote student awareness and utilization of early postsecondary opportunities.
• Focus on development of essential skills necessary for college and career.

To qualify, submitting schools must identify a collaborative partner such as a feeder school, postsecondary institution, business, industry or community-based organization to support the initiative. The deadline to submit proposals is Dec. 20. The number of grants awarded will be contingent upon the funds available.

CPE will host a webinar on Dec. 6 at 9 a.m. CST/10 a.m. EST to answer questions regarding the application process. The webinar will be recorded for applicants unable to attend.
